Cynthia Sue Mayfield Branscum of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Cynthia Sue Mayfield Branscum, daughter of the late Charles Edwin “Sunny” Mayfield and Ruth Ernestine Black Mayfield, was born November 28, 1951 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She departed this life December 20, 2014 in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 63 years and 22 days. She was united in marriage to Jerry Branscum November 23, 1972 and to this union two daughters were born. She spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. During her working years she was employed by Baxter Lab in Mountain Home, retiring after 27 years of employment. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Community Church in Calico Rock.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Charles Mayfield, Johnnie Mayfield; two nephews: Michael Lamb and Seth Cook and one sister-in-law: Kay Branscum.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Community Church with Monte Neal officiating. Burial will be at Branscum Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Visitation will be Monday, December22 from 6-8 p.m.
