Biography

Katherine was born in 1785. Katherine McAlpin ... ANGUS McALPIN FAMILY OF CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA ANGUS McALPIN (Jr.). prob. s/o Anlgus (Sr.) and Catherine. He may have been the Angus McAlpin who died in 1804 at Major Hazzard's plantation, but there is no proof, prob. married ca 1801, name of wife unknown. Issue: (1 child shown on estate record)

Catherine "Katy" McAlpin, d/o Anlgus (Jr.), m. 26 Feb 1803, Cumberland Co., NC, Jonathan Thomas (Malcolm McAlpin and Robinson Munford were bondsman.) They moved to Miss. in 1811 and lived in Green and Perry Cos., Miss. In 1820 census of Perry Co., MS; 1830, 1840 census Yazoo Co., MS. ^[1]
