Biography

Van Ellison McCalister was born on November 11, 1861 in Dover, Pope, Arkansas, United States, son of George C. McAlister (1824–~1864) and Mary Elizabeth Tomlinson (1833–~1880).

Van (23) married Eviza Mariah Snider (18) (born on May 24, 1867 in Strawberry, Lawrence, Arkansas; daughter of John H Snyder and Rebecca R (Wolf) Snider) on November 8, 1885.

Van died on April 16, 1924 in Lawrence, Arkansas, aged 62.
