Biography
Mary McCallum was born on April 7, 1822 in County Tyrone, Ireland, daughter of James McCallum (1796 - 1851).
Her siblings were:
- James McCallum (1822 - 1904)
- Margaret (McCallum) Campbell (1827 - 1904)
- Robert McCallum (1828 - 1905)
In 1871 (aged ~49), Mary was living in of Canada with her husband, Nelson Hunter (66); and their children, John (24), James (22), Robert (20), Sarah Ann (18), Margaret (15), Henrietta (13), Eliza (10), Maria (8), and Lydia (5).[1]
In 1881 (aged ~59), Mary was living in Perth North with her Nelson (68), James (30), Margaret (24), Henrietta (22), Emily E (20), and Martha M (17), and Lydia (15).[2].
Mary died on June 7, 1906 in Mornington Township, Perth County, Ontario, Canada aged 84. She is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Milverton, Perth County, Ontario, Canada.[3]
