Biography

William Patrick McCarthy was born 16 Mar 1907 in Grand Chute, Outagamie, Wisconsin, the son of Timothy McCarthy and Bridget Tierney. ^{[1] [2] [3] [4]}

In 1940 he appears in the Mill, Mill, Wisconsin, census. This census also lists his residence in 1935 as Milwaukee. ^[5] He was still a resident of Mill in 1942 when he completed the WWII Draft Registration form. At that time he was still single, listing his brother Howard Francis McCarthy of Appleton as a contact person. ^[6] He served in the Army from 1942-1945. ^[7]

He married Julia Ann Connolly 22 Nov 1941 in Cook County, Illinois. ^[8]

The family appear in the 1950 Chicago, Cook, Illinois, census with the following enumeration: William (42), Julia (40), Sheila (7), Rita (3), Timothy (1). ^[9]

Julia predeceased her husband in June 1979. ^[10]

William Patrick McCarthy died 21 Jul 1986 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois, and is buried in St Joseph Cemetery, River Grove. ^{[1] [11] [12]}
