Robert was born in 1906. He was the son of Robert McClymont and Edith Mangham.[1] He married Hazel Frances Bevin 1929[2] He passed away in 1941 age 34 [3]
Captain Robert Bruce McClymont (Service number 20054), served in the NZ Army during WW2. A public servant in civilian life, he was from Arapuni, in the Waikato. He gave his next of kin as Mrs Hazel F. McClymont (wife), C/o Mrs Grylls-Thomas, Kihikihi Road, Te Awamutu. He embarked with the 21st Infantry Battalion; Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and was killed in action at Crete, in Greece. He is buried at the Suda Bay War Cemetery, in Crete, Greece (Grave reference 6. B. 6 [4]
