Biography

James Harold McCutcheon was born on 25 December 1932 in Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia. His parents were John Henry McCutcheon and Mabel Kay (Koontz) McCutcheon.

In the 1940 census, James (age 7), was enumerated as the son of John McCuthon [McCutcheon] in Charleston, Kanawha, West Virginia.^[1]

James served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, enlisting on 28 December 1949, with a discharge date of 10 April 1951.^[2][3]

James married first, Linda Ruth Buchanan, in 1956 in Jackson County, West Virginia, United States.^[4]

James (age 50), son of John Henry McCutcheon & Mable Kay Koontz, married second, Margaret Elizabeth Shaffer Belcher, on 9 September 1983 in Giles County, Virginia, United States.^[5]

James died (age 64) on 29 July 1997 in the Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, Kanawha, West Virginia.^[6][7][8] He was laid to rest in the Keenan Cemetery in Drennen, Nicholas County, West Virginia.^[9]
