Biography
The McGeoch family into which Sarah McDowall married lived in Old Luce, which is less than 10 miles from Stranraer. The year of her birth fits nicely with her husband and children, and I have found no other Sarah McDowalls born in Wigtownshire in the years that would fit. [1]
