Biography
William McGuachie was born around 1829, the son of Isabella and Hugh McGauchie.
He married Elizabeth Naismith on 25 June 1848 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.[1] Their children were:
- William McGauchie (1849?–1932)[2]
- Thomas McGauchie (1862?–1932)[3]
- Racheal McGauchie (1866?–1958)[4]
They emigrated to Australia in 1854, with two children, on the "Herald of the Morning".[5]
William died in 1899 in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia, aged 70 years.[6] His remains were buried at White Hills Cemetery in Bendigo.[7]
