Biography

Jacob was born about 1797. He was the son of Jacob McGehee and Mary Ann Collier. He passed away about 1871.

Jacob is named 9th in the will of his father, Jacob McGehee. "I give and bequeath unto my son, JACOB MCGEHEE, one negro girl, to be purchased by my Executor's _____one horse, saddle and bridle, of the value of one hundred dollars, one cow and calf, one sow and pigs and one bed and furniture _____. [1]

He married Elizabeth Stephens on 24 Jan 1822 in Jones County, Georgia. [2]
