Margaret was born in 1832, the daughter of Martin McGhee and Sarah Heard.[1]
She married William Hunter Turner on 11 Apr 1850 in Franklin Co., Va.[2] They were together on the 1850 census in Henry Co., Va. William was a farmer.[3]
Their children were John Wesley, Sarah Frances, William Jesse, Andrew Creed, George C. Mary Lucy, Palmira A., Theodrick, Bettie E., Ballard, Cabell Henry, Mack Dole, and Watt Marshall.[4] The family farmed at Reed Creek, near Martinsville, in Henry Co.[5]
William passed away in 1903 in Figsboro, Henry Co.[6] Margaret died in 1905, while visiting her daughter Bettie in Danville, Va.[7] They were buried at the Turner Cemetery in Franklin Co., Va.[8]
