Biography

Rhoda McGuire was born in 1840 in Tazewell County, Virginia. She was the daughter of William McGuire and Nancy Harman.

She married Charles J. Maxwell in 1860 in Tazewell Co. He was born 3 August 1832 and died 25 August 1889. He was a son of Robert and Margaret Maxwell.

Rhoda and Charles lived in Tazewell Co. until her father's estate was settled and then moved to Audrain County, Missouri, probably c1871-1873. They had at least 7 children based on available Census records. Some were born in Tazewell Co. and some in Audrain Co.

Charles Maxwell died in 1889. Rhoda passed away in 1911 in Audrain Co., MO.
