Biography

John was born in 1793.

John moved to Canada. He married Elizabeth Curtis, daughter of John Curtis and Chloe Shipman who had also been in Otsego County. They settled near the present Belleville, Ontario. They left Upper Canada in 1838 and went by boat to Rochester, New York and eventually settled in the Maumee Valley. [1]

John died 24 Feb 1867 (aged 73) in Wood County, Ohio, USA and ws buried in Fish Cemetery at Pemberville, Wood County, Ohio, USA. [2]
