Research Notes

• There is a reference to a Robert M. Kendry in a sale connected to the estate of Peter Horn, dated 10 Jun 1824 in Bedford County. Returned on 26 July 1825.^[6]
• There is a reference to a Robert McKindry in the Allotment pages of the estate of a Peter Horn, dated 25 Jul 1829 in Bedford County, Virginia.^[7]
• There is a reference to a Robt. McKendree as posting surety for Jacob Feazel (1803-1883) and Virginia Jane (Key) Feazel (1817-1890).^[1]
  Note: Jacob Feazel (1803-1883) is the son of Joseph Feazel (1777-abt.1840) and Rachel (St. Clair) Feazel (bef.1770-1855), daughter of Robert St. Clair (abt.1743-abt.1827) and Ruth (Palmer) St. Clair (abt.1746-abt.1832). So the McKendrees definitely were close to the St.Clairs of Bedford County whether by blood or friendship has yet to be determined. This would also mean that Robert was in the Bedford/Franklin County area at least through 1835. BJS
