Biography

Margaret was born in Inverness on the 18th of march and baptised on the 24th of that month. Her father Donald gave his occupation as Ship Captain. At the time her parents were living in Markinch, Inverness.

The baptism witnesses were John Fraser and John McIntosh

Margaret is now in the 1841 census record with her mother, but does enter the record in the 1851 census with her stepfather's surname.
