Biography

Raymond William McLean was born on 26 May 1904 at Wickham, New South Wales, Australia. His mother was Eliza Baker and his father may have been David McLean. [1] See note below re birth registrations.

Marriage 1
Raymond William McLean married Doris Pearl Rollinson in 1925 at Cessnock, New South Wales, Australia. [2] Sadly, Doris Pearl (née Rollinson) McLean died in 1937 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. [3]

He joined the New South Wales Police Force on 27 March 1929.

Marriage 2
Raymond William McLean married Evelyn May Coxon in 1939 at Ryde, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. [4]

Sgt 2/C Raymond William McLean collapsed after assisting in the restraint of a prisoner, and died on duty on 11 September 1959 at Manly, New South Wales, Australia. [5]
