Biography

Elizabeth Young McLean was named after her maternal grandmother Elizabeth Young Young-32709 The witnesses at her baptism were her uncles John Brown Brown-86232 and Andrew Brown Brown-86181 At the time of her marriage Elizabeth was 60 and her husband Robert was 63. His occupation is given as Coppersmith, hers as a domestic servant Housekeeper. He was a widower. His wife is alive in the 1901 census, she and Robert living in the same street as Elizabeth. They were in that same street in the census previous to that too, so it is likely that Elizabeth and Robert knew each other well before Robert's wife died.
