Johanna bapt 7 Feb 1841 [9] (namesake, paternal grfa).
Donald's wife died in childbirth c1841. (See research notes). He did not remarry.
1841 census shows recently widowed Donald and his daughters in Fodderty, except infant Johanna who was with Murdoch McLennan (Donald's brother). [10] Murdoch had a 7 mo old child and his wife probably wet nursed Johanna through infancy. Their sister, Isabel, lived with Donald, likely to help with the household.
In 1851, Donald was in Dingwall with two daughters. [11] He removed to Kiltearn by 1861 and stayed with his sister Isabel for a time. [12] At least one daughter, Mary (McLennan) Campbell, also lived in Kiltearn where she established her family, later moving to Inverness.
1876: Donald McLennan who was admitted to Inverness District Asylum, Inverness appears to be the same man.
Died: unknown date, perhaps after c1876, Inverness.
