  • 1841 census shows recently widowed Donald and his daughters in Fodderty, except infant Johanna who was with Murdoch McLennan (Donald's brother). [10] Murdoch had a 7 mo old child and his wife probably wet nursed Johanna through infancy. Their sister, Isabel, lived with Donald, likely to help with the household.
  • In 1851, Donald was in Dingwall with two daughters. [11] He removed to Kiltearn by 1861 and stayed with his sister Isabel for a time. [12] At least one daughter, Mary (McLennan) Campbell, also lived in Kiltearn where she established her family, later moving to Inverness.
1876: Donald McLennan who was admitted to Inverness District Asylum, Inverness appears to be the same man.
Died: unknown date, perhaps after c1876, Inverness.
