Thomas McMurry departed this life in Colony, Knox county, Mo., on Wednesday morning, the 24 inst., aged 75 years, 11 months, and 6 days. He was born in Marion county, Kentucky, and emigrated to this State in the fall of 1831, settling about fifteen miles west of Palmyra, near Warren, where he remained until the fall of 1857, when he removed to this place. His wife died in November, 1879. He leaves behind him, to mourn his loss, three sons, Thomas P., John J. and William F. McMurry, together with twenty-one grandchildren. He had been a devout and consistent Christian from early manhood down to the hour of his death, and left us with no fears for the future.
