Greg was born in 1900. He is the son of William McNamara and Mary McNamara. He was living in Sydney, Nova Scotia and working as a barber when he married Mary Cecilia Poirier in Descousse, Nova Scotia in 1928. In 1931 they are living in Evanston, N.S. with two children: Raymond, aged 1 and Mary D.V. (Della), aged 8 months. Greg died in 1977 and is buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Whiteside.
