The baptism records (2) are also a day apart, one is the 26th and one is the 27th. The baptism record for George Sinclair in Thurso states that William was a soldier in Col. Balfour's regiment. In 1809, William was discharged from the army for being disabled, unable to perform, having lost the use of his arm in an accident while working on a castle project. It states that he served 12 years total in various organizations before being discharged. He was discharged in Latheron and states his place of birth is Latheron. It has his height as 5' 5".
