Gary McSpadden was an American singer, songwriter, record producer, pastor, and television host. His musical Christian and gospel groups included stints in The Statesmen, The Oak Ridge Boys, The Imperials, The Bill Gaither Trio, and The Gaither Vocal Band.

Obituary: Gary Michael McSpadden, age 77, born on January 26, 1943 to Helen and Boyd McSpadden passed away on April 15, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carol McSpadden; children, Michelle Smith (Ron) and Shawn McSpadden; grandchildren, Chase Smith, Cole Smith, Carley Smith, Taylor McSpadden, and Brooks McSpadden; and sister, Cheryl Kartsonakis (Dino).

Gary traveled and performed with the Oak Ridge Boys, The Imperials, Bill Gaither Trio, the Gaither Vocal Band, and also as a solo performer. Gary was entered into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee. He was also a Grammy Award winner and a GMA Dove Award winner. Gary and Carol began the Faith and Wisdom Church in Branson, Missouri in 2010 where they both served as pastors. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, singing, and songwriting. Gary loved music and church but his greatest passion was the love he shared with family.
