Gideon's burial was Sept 29, 1814.^{[citation needed]} Warren Co. Will Book A pg 30- I Gideon Mead of the town of Chester in the county of Warren and state of New York being in my right mind and memory, do make ordain and declare this testament to be my Last Will and Testament, revoking all others... Item.-To my five daughters, viz, Abigail McBride, Hannah Mead, Nancy Davis, Fanny Mead and Lydia Starbuck, I give and devise all my right and title to my lands lying in the vacancy between the twenty forth and twenty fifth townships of Tottin's and Crossfield's purchases to have and to hold... to be equally divided among those my above mentioned five daughters. Item.- To my grandson Eliaz Mead I give twenty dollars to be paid him in one year after my decease. All the rest and residue of my estate real and personal not disposed of in the manner aforesaid I give and devise to my son Gideon Mead, which is to include my homestead farm... Lastly- I constitute and appoint my son Gideon Mead and my son in law Charles Starbuck executors to this my last will and testament... Signed and sealed the 18th day of the 10th month in the year AD 1813. Witnesses: Stephen Baker, Seth Fuller and Jeremiah Gould. Warren Co., Book A pg 32- The will was proved in the town of Queensbury, Warren Co., NY on September 29, 1814.^[2]
