Biography

William Meaney was born on 26 Jul 1901 in Belfast, Antrim, Ireland, son of John Meaney (1869– ) and Mary Ann Bleakley (1871– ).[1]

In the 1911 Census, William was the 9 year old son of John and Mary Ann, living with 4 siblings at a house 71 in Paris Street (Shankill, Antrim).[2]

William died on the 27th of September, 1917 at 18 Kendal St, Belfast, of Pulmonary Tuberculosis. He was an apprentice plumber and the death was reported by his father, John, who was present at his death.[3]

William was buried in the Belfast City Cemetery on 29 September, 1917. [4]
