Jim immigrated to Canada in March 1909 with his father. Arriving in Canada he came to Cardale, Manitoba and worked on a farm for a few years. In 1914 he moved to Fenwood, Saskatchewan. He farmed there and met and married Edith Benjestorf.
Jim and Edith moved to the Meadow Bank, NW 4-36-12 W2 nd. district in 1918 where they farmed until Edith passed away March 18, 1948. Jim passed away February 2, 1980.
