Biography
Viola was born in 1924. She is the daughter of Walter Miles and Clara Whitmer. She passed away in 2007. [1]
HENRY - Viola Mae "Peggy" Hufnagel, 83, of rural Henry passed away at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007, in the Apostolic Christian Home in Roanoke.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church of Henry. Pastor Peggy Emmert will officiate. Burial will in Henry City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Henry Funeral Home Downtown Chapel and on Saturday in the church.
She was born March 7, 1924, in Hinckley, Ill., to Walter and Clara (Whitmer) Miles. She married Raymond Francis Hufnagel on March 16, 1941.
She was a cake baker and decorator and then worked as an interior designer for Lenz Furniture in Lacon and Sutcliff Furniture in Princeton. She also taught classes in China doll making and painting.
She was a member of United Methodist Church of Henry, Henry Women's Club and was the founder of the Whiz Kids 4H Club of Whitefield Township.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond of Henry; two sons, Francis Henry Hufnagel of Henry and David Michael Hufnagel of Henry; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Frances Marie Loscher of Henry.
She was preceded in death by seven sisters and three brothers. [2]
