Ida Elizabeth Miller was born on March 24, 1874 to Lucas and Mary Magdalene Soliday Miller in Fairfield County, Ohio. She appeared on the 1880 United States Census at age 6.[1]
She married Benjamin Franklin Koontz on March 14, 1892. They had five sons and six daughters between 1893 and 1915.
She appeared on the 1900 United States Census at age 26.[2]
Their son, Russell Park Koontz born on September 27, 1899 died on August 2, 1901 at the age of 22 months.
Their son, Ralph Koontz born on August 25, 1902 died on November 13,1902 at the age of 2 months.
Their daughter, Evelyn Koontz was born and died on March 10, 1909.[3]
Ida appeared on the 1910 United States Census at age 36.[4]
She appeared on the 1920 United States Census at age 45.[5]
She appeared on the 1930 United States Census at age 56.[6]
She appeared on the 1940 United States Census at age 66.[7]
Her husband, Benjamin Koontz passed away on September 4, 1940 at the age of 70.
Ida passed away on October 16, 1966 at the age of 92. They are buried at Union Evangelical Cemetery outside Baltimore, Ohio.[8]
