In 1950, Lanscum received $1000 from the estate of Mrs. Emma Bird, for whom he had been a chauffeur for many years.

The will is scheduled for presentation at the Probate Court session Tuesday before judge Harry E. Wilbur. Lanscum Miller of Thomaston, for many years chauffeur for Mrs. Bird, is left $1000, and the residue of the estate, which is estimated may inventory between $75,000 and $100,000, will be divided as follows:"
