Biography

Minnie Louisa, daughter of Ethel Wall and John Miller

Her birth was registered under the name Muller.

Minnie married in 1899 to Peter Esprit Feron, a Railway Worker and they settled in Christchurch. Peter was the son of a French immigrant Peter Feron and Sarah Simpson. ^[1]

Peter's father arrived in New Zealand in 1861 and ran a Fish Market in Christchurch. He married in New Zealand in 1870 to Sarah Simpson. Peter Feron Sr was naturalised in 1893.

Five known daughters were born in Minnie and Peter's marriage, Margaret Ethel, Pretoria Louisa, Florence Emma, Thelma Rita and Alice Beatrice. A son William Esprit Miller Feron was born in 1905 but didn't survive infancy and died in 1907 aged 2 years. ^[2]

Minnie died in Christchurch aged 74 in 1955. Burial location unknown.

Peter Esprit Feron died some years later in 1962 aged 87.^[3] Probate of Peter's Will was in 1962 in Christchurch. ^[4]
