Biography

Russel was born in 1825. He is the son of Alanson Miller.

In 1850 an Alanson Miller (67, b. MA, farmer) headed a Middlebury, NY (Wyoming County) household with Lydia Miller (52, b. NY), Louise Miller (27, b. NY), Lyman Miller (26 b. NY, farmer), Russell Miller (24, b. NY, farmer), Priscilla Miller (22, b. NY), Alanson Miller (20, b. NY, farmer), Lydia A. Miller (18, b. NY), Stephen Miller (15, b. NY, farmer), Hannah Miller (12, b. NY), and Sarah Miller (10, b. NY).

In 1860 Russel Miller (34, farmer, b. NY) heads a Middlebury, NY (Wyoming County) household with Mary Miller (25, b. NY), Eliza S. Miller (3, b. NY), Jane E. Miller (9/12, b. NY), Stephen Miller (24, farmer, b. NY), Joseph Place (23, farmer, b. NY), Harriet N. Parker (38, b. NY), and George Parker (9, b. NY).[1] Harriet Parker was Russel's sister and George was his nephew.

In 1870 Russel Miller (44, farmer, b. NY) heads a Middlebury, NY (Wyoming County) household with Mary Miller (35, b. NY), Lewellen Miller (13, b. NY), Emerette Miller (10, b. NY), Elva Miller (8, b. NY), Nettie Miller (5, b. NY), Dwight Miller (2, b. NY), and Lydia Miller (71, b. NY).[2]

In 1880 Russel Miller (55, farmer, b. NY, father b. MA, mother b. NY) heads a Middlebury, NY (Wyoming County) household with Mary Miller (45, b. NY, both parents b. Ireland), Lewellen Miller (23, b. NY, works at home, both parents b. NY), Emerette J. Miller (20, b. NY, works at home, both parents b. NY), Mary E. Miller (18, b. NY, works at home, both parents b. NY), Mettie M. Miller (15, b.
