Biography
Arthur Richard Dillon Mills was born Dublin 1845. [1]
He was the son of solicitor Henry Dillon Mills & Emily [Preston]. [1]
Aged 16 in 1861 he entered into a four-year apprenticeship indenture. [2]
In 1863 the indenture was terminated by his father. [2]
In 1868 his family emigrated from Ireland to the USA. [3]
In 1869 he completed the School of Military Instruction, Montreal, Canada. [4]
Aged 24 in 1870 he resided Lafayette, Missouri, with his parents and six siblings. [5]
He married Gabriella [Ragland], Lafayette County 1872. [6]
Aged 35 in 1880 he was a farmer residing Lafayette with his wife, three children, and a stepdaughter. [7]
Aged 75 in 1920 he was a widower residing Kansas City in the household of Joseph Mills of Russia. [3]
He was a janitor in a public library. [8]
Arthur died aged 77, Kansas City 1922. [8]
