Albert married Laura (Fiddian) Millward (1860-) in 1887[4] and they had at least 10 children. In 1891 they were visiting his family with their 3 young daughters who were born in Lancashire. 10 years later he was a mining engineer and he and Laura were living in Accrington with 9 children, a servant and monthly nurse[5] and in 1911 they were still there, living with 3 daughters.[6]
