Abraham Minchew was born in 1853 in Georgia, United States, son of Isaac Minshew (1807–1858) and Mary Giles Butts (~1810– ).[1] In 1860, he was living in Ware County, Georgia with his parents and siblings. Their surname was transcribed incorrectly as "Miney".[2]
Abraham (18) married Rebecca Rowell (26) (born on December 25, 1845 in Georgia) about 1870 in Georgia. In 1880, they were living in Appling County, Georgia. There were 4 children in the home. Their surname was transcribed incorrectly as "Minchen".[3]
Abraham died in 1928 in Georgia, aged 74. He was buried in Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Alma, Bacon, Georgia.[1]
