Sam Mixson and Owen Marie Luther, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Luther, were married on 26 July 1936. A newspaper clipping announcing their marriage does not state where the wedding took place.[3] They were the parents of at least 2 children. They were divorced before 1950.
Samuel Alvin Mixson died on 04 September 1980 at the age of 73.[2] He was buried in Old Tabernacle Cemetery, New Brockton, Coffee County, Alabama.[4]
