Biography

Samuel Alvin Mixson was born on 09 July 1907 in Coffee, Alabama, United States.^[1][2] He was the son of Harman Wallace Mixson (1866 - 1925) and Missouri (Snellgrove) Mixson (1871 - 1932).

Sam Mixson and Owen Marie Luther, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Luther, were married on 26 July 1936. A newspaper clipping announcing their marriage does not state where the wedding took place.^[3] They were the parents of at least 2 children. They were divorced before 1950.

Samuel Alvin Mixson died on 04 September 1980 at the age of 73.^[2] He was buried in Old Tabernacle Cemetery, New Brockton, Coffee County, Alabama.^[4]
