Biography

Birth and Parents

Bradford Monk was born in Massachusetts.

Bradford, the first son and second of six children of Rodney Elijah Monk and Gertrude Hildreth Patten was born on 15 February 1916 at Gardner, Massachusetts.[1]

WWII Military Service

Bradford achieved the rank of Captain with the U.S Army during World War II as a Warrants Officer. He enlisted on 1 September 1842 at Fort Devens, Massachusetts.[2]

Marriage and Children

Bradford married Winnifred Louise Purdy (1827-2015) on 9 June 1951 at Freeport, Stephenson, Illinois. They had three daughters.

Death and Burial

Bradford Elijah Monk died on 16 July 2014 in his 98th year at Concord, New Hampshire.[3]He is buried in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery at Boscawen, Merrimack, New Hampshire.[4]
