Biography

Alexander was a Friend (Quaker)

Alexander Moode was born on 16 November 1713 (16 of 9th mo. 1713 old style) in London Grove, Chester County, Province of Pennsylvania.[1]

Alexander married Rebecca Allen (1722-1799) on 18 of 4th mo. 1741 (old style), at the meetinghouse in New Garden Township, Chester County, Province of Pennsylvania.[2]

They had 4 known children.

Their children were:

  1. Emey (Moode) Graves (30 October 1745 – January 1785)
  2. William Moode (1742-1829)
  3. Ruth (Moode) Cook (1747-1789)
  4. Hannah (Moode) Wilkinson (1750-1790)

Alexander passed away on 26 May 1751 in East Fallowfield Township, Chester County, Province of Pennsylvania, aged 37. (Alexander Moode deceased the 26th day of the 3rd mo. 1751 old style, the 3rd month was May; see Julian calendar) [3]
