(Rappahannock Times January 10, 1935 page 1) Funeral services conducted for Robert L. Moody Robert L. Moody departed this life Thursday, January 3rd, 1935, after a short illness in the home of Tom McTyre, of Upright, Va. He is survived by one brother, Willie Moody, of Richmond' two sons, James Robert and Lewis Franklin Moody; five grandchildren and five step-children. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Batkins at Ephesus Baptist Church. His remains were laid to rest beside those of his departed wife, Mrs. Julia I. Moody. Pallbearers were R. H. Stevens, Jordan McTyre, Beale Schools, William Verlander, J. C. Coleman, and Carroll Brizendine. He was 95 years old on his last birthday, December 26th.
