Biography

Daughter of Samuel Czar Carrick and Elizabeth Moore. Wife of Hugh Lawson White. They were the parents of 12 children, including Charles Andrew Carrick, James Moon May, Betsy Moon (m Scott), Polly Lawson (m Swan), Lucinda Blount, Peggy Ann (m Alexander), Cynthia Williams, Malinda McDowell, Hugh Lawson, Isabella Harvey, and Samuel Davis.^[1]

At the time of her death, she had outlived 10 of her children. Both she and eight of the children died from tuberculosis in the years 1826-1831. Her husband died from the same disease in 1840.^[2]
