Biography
Betsy was the oldest daughter of Hugh White and Elizabeth Carrick. She was the wife of John Newton Scott whom she married in 1818. Her husband passed away the following year. She died from tuberculosis at age 24 or 25, leaving a daughter, Nancy N Scott (b 1819).
