Mrs. Beulah Knewtson, 89, formerly of Edna, died April 25, 1996, at the home of a daughter in Coffeyville.
Mrs. Knewtson was born August 18, 1906, northwest of Edna to Levi and Mary (Wolford) Morgan. She attended Prairie Hall Grade School and Edna High school.
She married Arthur Knewtson in 1925. They lived on a farm northwest of Edna, farming and raising registered Hereford cattle. They retired March 20, 1974, and moved from the farm to Edna. He died in February, 1987.
In 1991 Mrs. Knewtson moved to Coffeyville to make her home with her daughter. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Edna, where she taught Sunday School for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Norma McWherter of Coffeyville, and Colene Miller of route two, Coffeyville; a brother, Sherman Morgan of Parsons; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Five brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Services were held Monday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Edna, with burial in North Edna Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the Edna Library or the First Baptist Church of Edna.
