"Cedars" referred to here was the Cedars Mill Sugar Plantation near Bucasia. Only part of the chimney stack still remained when I saw the area in 2000. Charles T. was the overseer at the Cedars during this time.
Arthur died from poisoning through eating match heads. Match heads contained phosphorous. He suffered for 2 days.
Arthur is buried 9 April 1887 in the Mackay Cemetery.
