Biography

On February 29, 1860, George MORRIS, son of Edward MORRIS and Sarah BRADLEY was born in Osgoode Township, Carleton County, Canada West.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

On October 8, 1884, George, age 24 years, a bachelor, and Emma Jane COWAN, age 22 years, a spinster, were married in an Anglican ceremony in Metcalfe Village, Osgoode Township, Carleton County. The witnesses were Albert BLAIR of Osgoode Township and Emma’s sister, Esther of March Township. Both George and Emma were residing in Osgoode Township and were Anglican. George was a farmer.[1]

On March 25, 1941, George, age 81 years, passed away in Metcalfe Village, Carleton County. The cause of his death was apoplexy due to hypertension due to myocarditis. The informant of his death was his daughter-in-law, N Iva E WILSON MORRIS of Metcalfe. His residence was in Metcalfe. George was a retired farmer. [6]

On March 27, 1941, George was buried in All Saints Anglican Cemetery in Greely, Ottawa. He was buried with his wife, Emma.[6]
