Joseph C. Morris was born on April 2, 1816 in Howell Township (Monmouth County), New Jersey.[1] He was the son of Charles Morris and Jane Megill.[1] Joseph married Lydia Ann Burdge about 1834.[2][3] Lydia and Joseph had at least 13 children [4][5][6][7] Joseph and at least 2 of his sons, William D. and John, were farmers in Howell Township through the 1880 census.[6][7][8]
Joseph died on July 18, 1882 in Howell Township.[9] He is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale (Monmouth County), New Jersey.[1]
