- Obit: PIERPONT Sara(h) "Sally" Morris Pierpont of Stratford, wife of Howard F. Pierpont, died on Saturday, December 13, 2008. Sally held a Masters degree from Southern Connecticut Teachers College and completed her teaching career in the Stratford schools. She was a member of several local organizations and was most actively involved with Friends of Boothe Park, Inc. and the Golden Rooster Shop of Christ Episcopal Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Howard Pierpont Jr. and his wife Karyl of Greeley Colorado; a daughter, Sandra Muschler and her husband, Fred of Wiltont; grandchildren Erik Pierpont, Deena McBain, Donald Kozak and Ketti Muschler; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Morgan and Megan Pierpont and Alexis Martin; a sister, two brothers, and several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. Sally wants all of us "to stay home and read a good book". Burial will be private. Pistey Funeral Home of Stratford is in charge of arrangements. A memorial service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church 2000 Main Street Stratford on Saturday December 20, at 11a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the following: Stratford Library Association, Children's Department, 2203 Main Street, Stratford CT 06615 or Friends of Boothe Park, Inc., PO Box 902 Stratford CT 06615.
