William was born on 18 December 1753 in Orange County, Virginia, British Colonial America.
William married Elizabeth Hite Smith in about 1877.
In about 1785, William and household moved from Virginia to Kentucky, after selling his home, called "Soldier's Rest," near Berryville.
William died in 1807, in Logan County, Kentucky. He is buried in Russelville, Logan County.
