Janet (Muirhead) Dobbie was born in Scotland.

Janet was born on 3 March 1761 at St Ninians, Stirlingshire, Scotland[1], and baptised on 8 March that month. She was the daughter of Alexander Muirhead and Margaret Monteith.

She married James Dobbie on 30 May 1788 at Bo'ness, Linlithgowshire[2][3][4]. James and Janet had at least nine children.

Research Notes

FamilySearch states that Janet was born on 3 March 1761 at St Ninians, Stirlingshire. This seems to be the correct Janet seeing that she named her first daughter Margaret and her second son Alexander. (Dickson-4413 08:57, 25 April 2024 (UTC))
