Biography
Elizabeth Margaret Mulkey, born 17 Jan 1835, was the seventh child of Martha H. (Martin) Mulkey (1804-1862) & Philip Mulkey (1802-1893). Her birth location probably was in or near Tompkinsville, Kentucky.
Her birth family moved westward as pioneers during the mid-1800s, traveling the Oregon Trail, settling in the wilderness of the Willamette River valley.
Elizabeth M. Mulkey married William Bailey Barger [1823 - 1895], this union producing at least 5, perhaps 6 children.
Elizabeth M. (Mulkey) Barger died 2 Jan 1866, in or near Eugene, Oregon. Her grave is in Mulkey Cemetery, Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, USA: Find A Grave: Memorial #26939968
