Katherine "Kate" Mulvoley (also Maloney, Maheny, Melooly, Mulloly) was born in 1838 in Ireland.
Kate married John Clancy (1829-1874) on 11 Jan 1864 in LaSalle County, Illinois. Their children were:
Anna "Annie" (Clancy) Nelms (1865-1931)
William John Clancy, Sr. (1867-1943)
Mary T. (Clancy) Keefe (1872-1917)
In the 1900 US Census we find Catherine Clancey, age 61, born 1838, a widow, who had three children, in the Illinois Eastern Hospital for the Insane, in Kankakee Township, Kankakee County, Illinois.
Kate passed away at age 65 on 20 Sep 1903, a housekeeper, at Illinois Eastern Hospital in Kankakee County, Illinois[1][2] where she was a resident of LaSalle, LaSalle County for 55 years.[3] She was buried at St. Vincent Cemetery in LaSalle, LaSalle County, Illinois where there is a gravestone by her husband John Clancy (1829-1874) with lifespan 1838-1903.[4] There is another gravestone Katherine Mulvoley Clancy associated with her son William John Clancy (1867-1943) and daughter Mary T. "Molly" (Clancy" Keefe (1872-1917) with lifespan 1850-1895.[5]
Notes
Last name at birth Mulvoley on son William's death record and also on her gravestone "Katherine Mulvoley Clancy". However, name is Kate Maloney on both her daughters' death records.
