Goldie “Louise” Mundy was born November 14, 1916 in Elmira, Chemung County, New York. She was the daughter of Willard W. Mundy and his wife Florence (Cornell) Mundy. [1]

Louise married Clifford Leon Hopkins on July 1, 1934 and they made their home in the Cortland area, Cortland County, New York. [2]
Clifford Hopkins and Miss Goldie Mundy, both of Marathon, were married, Sunday evening, July 1, at the residence of Rev. L. L. Vought. – The Cortland Democrat, Cortland, NY, Friday, July 6, 1934.
He died January 27, 1945 as a result of a motor vehicle accident and Louise raised their five children.
Louise Hopkins died February 1, 1975 in Cortland, Cortland County, New York. She is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, Chemung County, New York. [3]
Louise Hopkins, Lifetime Area Resident, Dies
Mrs. Louise G. Hopkins, 58, of 27 Greenbush Street died this morning in Cortland Memorial Hospital. She had been a resident of this area most of her life and was born Nov. 14, 1916 in Ithaca, the daughter of Raymond and Florence Cornell Pratt. [4] Surviving are two sons, Clifford Hopkins of Fort Pierce, Fla. And Leon Searles of Camp Pharsalia; three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Lois) Horton and Mrs. Dawn Elster, both of Cortland and Mrs. Durwood (Joan) Greene of Fort Pierce; and 16 grandchildren. She was the widow of Clifford Hopkins. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday from Wright-Beard Funeral Home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. – Cortland Standard, Cortland, New York, Saturday, February 1, 1975.
