Biography

Patrick was born in 1734, Argyll, Scotland to "Scotland John" Munro/Munroe and Margaret McNokerd. He was one of four sons. With his father, he and two brothers immigrated to the Cape Fear area of North Carolina, Cumberland County. His mother is not mentioned after the move to North Carolina. The fourth son, Donald immigrated to New York Colony. He was a Tory and ended up in Nova Scotia, Canada. Patrick married Flora, whose maiden name is unknown as well as her dates. His will only names his wife and daughter, Margaret. It refers to other children, but they are not named. His will was written in 25 Jul 1797. He passed away in Cumberland County, North Carolina in Aug 1797. His will was proved in the October 1797 Court.
